![]() A content ID match does allow the copyright holder to make a call on your video, options usually being delete the video w/ a strike (rare these days but possible), block the video (more common), permit the video w/ ads, or do nothing at all. This does not equal to a copyright strike or anything like that. In the event a video upload is content ID matched, you don’t have to worry too much since that’s just alerting you that YT has matched the audio in your video to an audio they have in their music library database that is copyrighted. There are exceptions to this such as Honeywork’s recent songs, DECO*27, and a couple others, but for the most part they’re very safe to cover. For my own stuff on my personal channel, I mainly stick to vocaloid music these days which are rarely content ID matched by YT because they aren’t commercially released. Hey there, glad to hear you’re just starting out, it’s a lot of fun! Yes I do know of YT’s content ID matching but I understand the system and how it works very well so I don’t really worry about it too much. ![]() ![]() ![]() I've been wondering, since you do covers, have you run into problems with all that youtube content ID stuff that's been happening over the past several months? If so, how have you gone about them? Because, really, that's why I haven't put up any covers yet. Anonymous said: Hi, I'm an aspiring youtaite-to-be. ![]()
